The first project we got given on my Fashion Promotion University course, we had to make a three dimensional mood board. The brief given to us said we should come up with a trend/ theme for Autumn 2012 and use this to create a mood board. My theme was called Woodland, so in my sketchbook I developed this and began to be inspired by the 1997 film FairyTale: A True Story. It is about two young girls in the early 1900's that fooled the world into thinking that faires existed by taking photographs of themselves with pictures of faries. They took the truth to their graves as to whether or not the faires were real and I found this story truly intriguing. So i used photographs of faires in my photographs along with the main colour scheme and materials of my mood board. The final photographs are here:
I was quite pleased with the outcome of these photos especially with the candlelight as it looks quite gloomy and wintery. The book as the base was a very last minute desition but i think this bought the whole thing together.
I would love to hear what you think!
